Chiswick House Wedding | Matt & Michaella

When a Los Angeles’ couple celebrate their love and elope in London Chiswick House.
We were there to photograph it.
This was a truly special wedding for us to capture.
Matt and Michaella first contacted us in 2018 for an engagement shoot when they flew in from LA, where we captured incredible images at St Dunstan in the East.
We were thrilled when they reached out again to announce they were returning to London to get married.
The day began at Henry’s Townhouse in Marylebone. As a fan of Jane Austen, the bride chose the perfect location; the townhouse was once home to Austen’s brother, Henry.
Its beautiful 18th-century interior provided a stunning backdrop for the morning’s photos.
On the way to the ceremony we had planned to stop at the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park for some photos. Lots of tourist turned up as well!
We then headed to Chiswick House and Gardens for the ceremony. It was a perfect, intimate setting for their service, and having the entire venue to ourselves allowed us to take full advantage of the historic building and grounds.
The ceremony was shared with three of their closest friends, with the best man officiating and Michaella’s friends serving as bridesmaids. Following the service, guests enjoyed music and drinks before we explored the grounds.
The wedding party then moved on to Covent Garden for photos among the London streets and iconic red telephone booths. When the light faded we all headed to Clos Maggiore for a romantic evening dinner.
It was a day filled with love and laughter, and we feel honoured to have been a part of it. Congratulations to our friends from LA— we look forward to seeing you for the anniversary.
Here’s a selection of memories from their story. If you are getting married at Chiswick House, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
