It was a beautiful day to get hitched and St John’s restaurant and surrounding streets of Smithfield’s gave the perfect backdrop to this wedding. Venues| The Rookery + St John Restaurant
The day started at the wonderful boutique hotel, the Rookery in Clerkenwell. It’s a cosy hotel with the feel of a private members club and a beautiful backdrop to your wedding photos. Hector took full advantage to get some amazing shots at the start of the day. It’s difficult to get a bad shot at the Rookery as there is so much inspiration, quirky areas and artefacts. It’s a wonderful location for pre wedding images and the perfect vibe if your looking for romance.
Getting the best out of your wedding photography
After photos of the bride adding the final touches to her look everyone headed to St John Restaurant. The venue was draped in flowers and the room was at full capacity. It’s not always easy to move around in these types of spaces and this space was… oh so very tight! Some quick creative thinking was needed to get the shots and we are pleased they came out so well. When planning your wedding keep in mind the space and set aside room for your photographer to move freely to get the best images for you. Ultimately it’s about getting the best photography of your day and a few forward thinking arrangements can make all the difference.
